It's still unfinished, less some hair and feathers.
And it's a bust practice for myself, not a commission.

The suggester says: "I don't think I've seen a more accurate depiction of Avatar's Neytiri than this. Most people screw up the crucial facial triangle; the distance between the eyes, and the eyes and the nose. Here it's perfect. Actually perfect would be an understatement. It's perfection with a side of bacon. And would you look at those freaking hair braids. Holy crap! I feel like we've all been taught a lesson in sculpting." In complete agreement. (

This is hands down the most awesome thing I have ever seen ever. Looking at this makes me never want to touch clay again because I know I don't have talent like this. It looks so much like her I would almost expect this to have been part of the art department from this actual film. Your skills are truly amazing my friend.
Beautiful piece- I love the details in the hair/braids, and the base of the neckline, perfectly long and elegant. Crazy good! Do you have plans to finish it, once it's all sculpted (and I assume fired?)
Wow looks just like her! And I love the stair case at the base Very unique detail! How did you do that hair? Did you make the braids individually and then attach them to the head? Or did you carve them out of a chunk of clay?
Wowzers! That hair! Kudos to you. I love everything about this!
Will you leave her in clay, or will you be adding color? I almost think the effectiveness would be destroyed if she were painted, because the colors in the movie are so vibrant that if you wound up painting her, she'd maybe look gaudy, and it would detract from the absolutely astounding detail you've made, but that's just me. lol. If you do paint her, I'd still love to see!
Is it bad that the first thing I find amazing is the epicly swirly base of the vase? XD But Oh mee gawwwsh. She's beautiful! Her braids, the feathers, her necklace WOW. Just wow... don't know what else to say...
